These are some of the services offered by KT/DA 

• KT/DA provides direct financial aid to needy kidney patients and donors in New England through its Patient Assistance Progam.
• KT/DA awards scholarships to kidney patients or members of their immediate families for continuation of post-secondary school education.
• KT/DA provides a variety of social activities for patients and their families, including regular meetings.
• KT/DA publishes a quarterly newsletter, The RenalGram, which informs members about recent medical advances, facts relating to treatment, upcoming events for patients, important legislation, and news of KT/DA's activities.
• KT/DA publishes a KT/DA Patient Handbook, which discusses many aspects of dialysis and transplantation, including the types of dialysis, transplantation protocols, diet, anemia, blood pressure, financial resources, sexual problems, and psychological adjustment.

KT/DA pays no salaries or rents, except for expenses like postage, telephone and printing, all funds they raise goes to benefit kidney patients directly.

By assisting the Massachusetts State Association of Emblem Clubs raise money for KT/DA, it is a great opportunity for me not only to achieve a personal fitness goal but also to contribute to such a worthy cause.  Although recent strides in research and treatments have been significant, much more needs to be done.  The MSAEC goal is $100,000 for 2009.  My personal goal is $_ _ _ _ _ _.  If you are in a position to help me, I thank you in advance.  Please feel free to pass my information on to others that may help me.
