May 3, 2009 was the first event for MSAEC.
There were 5K, 10K and 13.1 mile routes for walkers; bicyclists rode for 12 miles and those wanting to race their minds played in Sudoku, Word Search and Crossword events. Everyone enjoyed refreshments and entertainment by “That Backwards” throughout the morning at the Mansfield Lodge of Elks #2633.
Kidney disease survivor, Ed Steinfield, a past president of KT/DA was present and walked the 5K with his sister Marcia. See the picture below.
Winners of gifts donated for this event were Mary Wood, Susan Delhanty, Gail Rosenberg and Donna Pillsbury. Marie Ryan won a 2 night stay at the Best Western Inn at Hampton NH and Rick Hill won a 2 night stay at Rockport Inn and Suites, Rockport, MA.
