KT/DA motto:

"Patients Helping Patients" since 1964. 

 

KT/DA pays no salaries or rents, except for expenses like postage, telephone and printing, all funds raised go to benefit kidney patients directly.

 

            

   Some of the services provided by KT/DA

 for patients in New England are:

KT/DA provides direct financial aid to needy kidney patients and donors in New England through its Patient Assistance Program.

KT/DA awards scholarships to kidney patients or members of their immediate families for continuation of post-secondary school education.

KT/DA provides a variety of social activities for patients and their families, including regular meetings.

KT/DA publishes a quarterly newsletter, The RenalGram, which informs members about recent medical advances, facts relating to treatment, upcoming events for patients, important legislation and news of KT/DA's activities.

KT/DA publishes a  KT/DA Patient Handbook which discusses many aspects of dialysis and transplantation, including the types of dialysis, transplantation protocols, diet, blood pressure, anemia, financial resources, sexual problems and psychological adjustment
